Memorial Project

Some of us see these almost everyday. They have been in place for years. They have been created to honor and remember our veterans that have perished in defense of our country.

These are our veterans memorials.

Many cities and towns all across the country have erected these monuments as a lasting memorial to the men and women that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. There are many of these in Western Pennsylvania and we thought it would be a great idea to seek out these monuments and photograph as many of them as we can. The ones included in our gallery below are the first we have added to our ‘living’ project.

We also understand that many communities also have memorials dedicated to firemen, police, and first responders. These will also be included in our little memorial gallery. (Everson Volunteer Fire Department has one in this gallery)

We know we have only scratched the surface to find as many of these as possible, but we hope to eventually get to the many that exist. If anyone would like to share photos of memorials in their area, feel free to get in touch with us using the ‘Contact’ link in the main menu and we’ll be happy to include them in the collection.

As we move forward, please enjoy some of the best memorials our area has to offer.
